Assassin`s Creed Origins - Khufu Tomb hidden Gold Room

Rumor has it that in the Tomb of the Great Pyramid of Khufu in Giza there are many undiscovered chambers,
so my team and I decided to use the theory by Jean-Pierre Houdin and create our own interpretation for those rooms in the game. The goal was to create epic and unique areas that will be interesting for the player to explore and in the same time to feel that they can be part of the real tomb. We placed the real sarcofagus of Khufu there, where in the game you will collect the biggest reward from the tomb. Then we push the fantasy a little bit and fill the rooms with a lot of tearsures and gold.

I did the setup for the treasure piles, custom texture and the artistic arrangement for the gold props.
I did the level art for those rooms and modeling the modules for them with.

This one was a very fun challenge.

The whole group is a Low res plane with texture as a base and groups of different props arranged on key spots to brake repeatable pattern and create interesting areas.

optimized prop groups are used to cover the flat plane geometry and create more volume to it. This adds more details as well.
